Being a vampire during a zombie apocalypse comes with a lot of problems to navigate. Luckily Coburn has a dark sense of humor that kept me amused throughout. Zombies are my favorite horror genre with vampires a close second, so I was happily overlooking some issues with the writing that my IRL book club pointed out. Fat phobic jokes and extremely shallow or convenient female characters used solely to move the male character’s plot line forward. Overall enjoyable to me but won’t rate it higher because of the sexist bent in the writing.
