Hooked by Emily McIntire

Did not finish book. Stopped at 55%.
The characters are not lovable, redeeming or particularly interesting. Wendy has the innocent white girl, rich kid, daddy issues, and abandonment trope that I can’t overlook. She doesn’t have any interesting qualities, hobbies, talents, or knowledge that gives her depth either.
Her friend Angie doesn’t play any significant role. We don’t know anything about Rufus’ history either.
Falling for Hook/James after 1 date and accepting that “she’s his” even though she knew nothing about him…🤔 I can’t get onboard with their “love story.”

I think McIntire could have had more fun playing around with more perspectives than just Wendy and Hook/James. If it’s gonna be mysterious, why not add more POVs?
