Of all the food related books in my collection, this is one of my very favorites. Each veggie has it's own section in the book. Greene writes personal anecdotes and experiences he has had with each vegetable in essays, as well as the history and origins of the food, complete nutritional facts ,and recipes. It's just a fantastic thorough and definitive source on vegetables and what to do with them
