A beautifully queer retelling of the Snow Queen! I loved it! It starts off right enough, Elsa and Kay are neighbours and best friends, but Kay has been weird since a kid and one night he leaves with the Snow Queen. Elsa of course resolves to find her best friend / love interest and sets out. Unfortunately she needs to deal with witches, bandits, talking ravens, and magical transformations along the way and is kinda delayed. I especially enjoyed the talking raven and the fascinating take on reindeers and life in the high north. A wondrous, wholesome, gripping tale full of magic, unexpected love and cool talking animals. Loved it.

Also there's a wombat on the front page! Love wombats!
