The Rose & the Dagger
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well, I don't exactly know how to pinpoint my disappointment in this. I liked the first book mainly because of the romance, and in this book they weren't together enough for me to have much interest in the story. Although, the plot was better in this book. The only time I actually wanted to read was when Shahrzad practised her magic with Musa and Artan. Tariq reminded me way too much of Tamlin, which is an instant no. Lastly, I'm conflicted about the ending... I´m not a huge fan of unnecessary deaths and pregnancies in books (which of course is a personal opinion). I´m putting some of the blame for this on my high expectations, which were far too high.
