Everyone in This Room Will Someday Be Dead by Emily Austin

3.75

While for me this wasn’t life changing and it didn’t change my opinions on anything, but as someone who also has severe social anxiety I identify with the main character. I love that the book explores the idea that neurodivergent people feel like they are so weird and people around us make it clear that they also think we’re weird. But, neurotypical people are so weird too, but they don’t know they are. Their behaviour is just accepted in society for some reason. Sometimes you just want to tell people that they are being weird or rude or inappropriate even if it’s seen as normal. This book is darkly funny and I would recommend looking at trigger warnings since it handles difficult topics.
