This one was a struggle bus for me. It took me a lot longer to get through this one than Book Lovers and Beach Read, both of which I finished in a matter of days. This one took me about a month, maybe more, and it took 200 pages for me to become fully invested to the point where I couldn't put the book down or stop thinking about it.
I think a majority of my struggle was just with Poppy because of how "quirky" she came off, and I was determined to leave this at 3-stars, but then Poppy decided to do some self-discovery and therapy, and I ended up being sympathetic towards her. Alex isn't perfect either. He's got his issues to work through, but the fact that they're both in therapy working on it, and they both know that neither will be 100% happy 100% of the time? I support them. 100%.
