Not my favorite by Neil Gaiman, some of the writing style tone was off. It was still a very fun, light read and I know a lot more now about mythology I did not know of before! I recommend this book for older kids (6th grade and up) and for anyone who likes to read myths and legends. The way Gaiman tells these myths like stories makes it a nicer entry point into this mythology than a hardcore non fiction book on Norse myths. I also recommend it for any Marvel superhero fans and fantasy fans as a lot of western fantasy tropes seem to have origins here. So yeah, though not my most favorite by Gaiman, I think this book was delightful and one I would recommend to older kids and teens who are into mythology. It is also fun for adults! Very accessible book! As one can expect about a book of the shenanigans of ancient gods there is some violence and mild implied sexual content, though nothing so explicit that I found disturbing.
Moderate: Gore, Torture, and Violence
Minor: Sexual content
