The Sea of Monsters
by Rick Riordan
What a fantastic sequel! It makes me want to dive right into the rest of the series. The way it is written is hilarious, super quirky and realistic for a boy Percy's age. I really fell in love with Percy and Annabeth, they are both genuinely good people, but written with flaws. I had to stop and "awe" at Percy several times. However, I also had to stop and shout, "what are you doing? It's a trap!" They are quite gullible even though they've been drawn into traps a dozen times before. Anyway, I really liked getting some depth from characters like Clarisse, and I cannot wait to continue with this world.
