the audiobook sounded like it was read via AI making it boring and hard to distinguish each person in the book.

The ebook chapter titles cut weird at some places but that doesn't make or break this book.

What did it for me was the fact that the villain was meh and yet feared. I felt as of this was one big tella novella you see with unbelievably, dramatical series of events that was far shock value that all comes out near the end.

This book reminded me of Cassandra Clare's Immoral Instruments series. A similar ew, a similar fail of a great villain,  and week characters.

I do think there is hope for this book hence the 2 stars. The world, how magic works and a few edits could help and the novella can stay.
