Endurance: A Year in Space, a Lifetime of Discovery by Scott Kelly

5.0

A must-read for anyone interested in the space program. The book alternates between Kelly’s time aboard the International Space Station during his record-setting mission, to a life story in which he overcame a lack of direction and self-discipline as a teen and young adult to become a Naval test pilot and then an astronaut. The memoir offers fascinating details of everyday life aboard the space station and insights into the relationships that form among the international crew members. You get a great feel for Kelly’s blunt, unvarnished personality. Highly recommended.
