Sinful Heir by Michelle Heard

3.0

Sinful Heir is the story of the intense Tristan Hayes and the calm Hana Cutler.

Warning: The books in this series feel the best when read in order.

Trigger Warning: Violence, Torture, Kidnapping

Synopsis:
Hana is about to start her journey at Trinity Academy while Tristan is already working, for a few years now. It’s been some time since they saw each other and Hana doesn’t know anything anymore about him. But when Tristan starts pursuing her, she isn’t able to say no.

Review:
Should I say yum at the very beginning? Because the author dedicated this book to her dark-hearted readers. Feels the book will be perfect for me. While we caught a few glimpses of Hana through her best friends’ stories – Fallon Reyes (Defiant Heir, #3), Jade Daniels (Coldhearted Heir, #1), and Mila West (Arrogant Heir, #2) – we know nothing about Tristan. And that makes this story a very nice mystery. Hmm…

The author herself warns the readers that Sinful Heir is not like the other books in this series. It is rather a preview of what’s to come with The Saint Monarch’s Academy Series. Another series … Wow!
Every devil needs an angel to keep them from becoming soulless, and I’m running out of time to find mine. Maybe that’s what I see in Hana? A reason to not cross the line?

The story starts in a similar vein to some of the previous ones, in the past, when Hana was eighteen and Tristan twenty-three. Narrated in the first-person dual perspectives, Sinful Heir opens on a Christmas function of CRC Holdings and Indie Ink, which the entire The Heirs family is attending, as it is the sixteen’s family businesses.
It’s weird how we’re all connected in some way.

This quote in the book summed up all the confusion I sometimes felt while reading it. But how I love the series. The stories run in a perfectly synced parallel timeline.

This book is dark. While Hana is the light, Tristan is darkness personified. There’s no limit to what he will do for Hana. If you’re not comfortable with vigilante justice, then this story isn’t for you. And forget dark-hearted, what I am going to say may be a SPOILER, but this book is nothing short of a mafia romance. While I would not say this book was for me, I am definitely intrigued by the author’s upcoming connected series.

Next up is [b:Tempted Heir|57058660|Tempted Heir (The Heirs #7)|Michelle Heard|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1613318533l/57058660._SY75_.jpg|73908480], Christopher Hayes and Dash West’s story.

Thank you to Candi Kane PR for an e-ARC of the book.

P.S. My reviews of the books in the series is as follows:
Coldhearted Heir | Arrogant Heir | Defiant Heir | Loyal Heir | Callous Heir | Sinful Heir | Tempted Heir | Forbidden Heir
