Sweet and Wild by Carmen Jenner
4.0

What a great start to a new series by Carmen Jenner. This book was so fun to read, it was sassy, sweet, sexy and down right adorable. It is a little different to what some of her fans might come to expect, as there is no dark, twisted or kinky theme, but it goes to show how diverse of an author she is, when she can write in any genre and create a hit.

This series is about the Winchester family and their farm in Texas. The first book concentrates on Lemonade and her childhood ex boyfriend Colton Hayes. Lemon flees the farm at age eighteen and only returns twelve years later when something tragic happens at the farm. She leaves behind her art gallery and finds not everyone has open arms to see her back. Especially Colt, who has been harbouring so many feelings since she's been gone.

I love a good second chance romance. I like that they already know each other and how they tick, but also that there was a reason for the split in the first place. As it is told in dual pov's, we get to know what each is thinking but Lemon is a little firecracker at times, so everyone knows what she is thinking! We alternate between past and present and discover what happened to make Lemon leave so quickly to head to New York. And I have to admit, I saw some of it coming, not all, and it still bought tears to my eyes on how this poor eighteen year old must have felt. Colt too was heartbroken in so many ways back then, and it is hard for him not to be bitter. His grand gesture... what he had planned all along.. oh my he is such a sweetheart!

Being a series, there is obviously a few books yet to come from the Winchester's. One I am anxious to find out more from is West, the eldest brother. I feel when he falls, he is going to fall hard and not without some challenges along the way, which will make for dynamic reading. Can not wait.
