The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

5.0

I simply loved the creativity of the book and the guts Brown had to write it, probably knowing he would be receiving a lot controversy. What did readers expect anyway? A book that every word in it contained legitimate historical facts that would eventually lead readers to believe that Jesus really does have descendents today or a fictitious book that is filled with adventure, suspense and more or less factual words, such as the geography of the settings of the book, some information on the lost/forbidden books of the Bible and so on?

Also, what makes it ridiculous thinking that Jesus might have actually had a relationship with Mary Magdalene, or any woman, like any other man considering that Jesus did come to earth as a mortal man being born from a woman's womb (a virgin woman but that's beside the point) and died as a mortal man, all for the sake of understanding us humans, to teach us God's word and cleanse us of our sins. I mean the Bible we know today was created by man with so many revisions and translations. The only Bible that was created by a spiritual force, more or less, is the original Bible, which most likely very little people or no one living today has seen. I also wouldn't be surprised if the Church used their power to keep the lost/forbidden books of the Bible hidden for their own benefit since they contained Jesus' mortal characteristics. Can't always believe in authoritative power, especially those who would say anything, truth or lie, to keep that power.
