Gabby Gets It Together by Nathan Fairbairn
3.0
Yeah, if you like that book series and show about a club of babysitters, you'll probably dig this.
Focuses a lot on the interpersonal struggles of the group of friends, as well as the logistical challenges of actually doing something like this.
Full color graphic novel, apparently the first of a series.
I liked that this club had an involved parent, who happens to be a successful fantasy author.
Based on the author bios on the flap, Fairbairn "started writing PAWS, his middle grade debut, as a way to share his passion for comics and storytelling with his daughter." Which I read as implying that the story originated with him. So it's interesting to me that Assarasakorn is listed first on the cover and flap bios. I note that Fairbairn is the only one listed here. Interesting.
Might take it out to schools next round.
