This was a fun read. Definitely not as spicy as some of Halle's others, and not as constant in its spice.
I liked the mystery and enjoyed trying to figure it out as I was reading. I never like an insta-love but I think this one at least explained it better than others.
And easy, enjoyable read. Some horror/graphic/gore scenes, but nothing really that disturbing.
Something I really hate in romance booksis when in the final few pages of the book we leap ahead in time and suddenly the main characters are married and she's taken his name. It's so unnecessary and patriarchal and it bugs me that they are basically saying that's the end goal. Ugh. So points off for that.
