None of the characters in this book are very likeable. So much is implied without being confirmed or explained. It's oddly well written while also just being disgusting all around.
My only other beef with this book is that while Winifred is very much telling us her own story, the "fourth wall" breaks or addressing the audience is really what pushes the story over the edge of unsettling.
