Superb

From the very beginning, this book pulled me in. I read it at every opportunity.
It is told from both Gypsy and Lucian's POV.
Gypsy, the survivor of a brutal past, is trying to do the best she can to provide for herself and her little sister. This seems to be going well until Lucian West forces his way into her life. I loved Lucian. His heart was in the right place and all he wanted to do was care for Gypsy and give her a new focus in her life.
Gypsy fought hard against Lucian and his directives. She was strong willed, rebellious and fiercely independent. Despite all that, she was still insecure.
Both the characters are complex, they bring out the best and worst in each other.
The storyline was particularly emotional in places, reducing me to tears on more than one occasion. I love when an author can pull that level of emotion from the reader.
I'm now looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
