The Crown Tower by Michael J. Sullivan

5.0

The entire reason I got into the Riyria books was because of The Crown Tower. And it wasn't even out yet.
I saw this book online and loved the idea it presented, only to see that it wouldn't come out for a few months. Then I read Riyria Revelations and fell in love with them. Then I got The Crown Tower.
I was not disappointed by it. If anything, The Crown Tower made me love the characters even more than I already did from reading Riyria Revelations. It was well written, witty, and as fun as all of Sullivan's other books.
There was, unfortunately, one thing that did throw me off a bit, and that would be the fact that there are inconsistencies between the account of the Crown Tower incident in this book and the accounting of it in The Heir of Novron. But, where that did bug me a little bit as a fan of the Revelations series, I choose not to let it bother me - after all, The Crown Tower is still an awesome book that left me eagerly waiting for the release of The Rose and the Thorn.
