Wild Love by Elsie Silver

This is not a cowboy romance I was lied to. This is a billionaire romance. This book has confirmed my thoughts that no billionaire deserves rights. I love how all of these books have the billionaire realize that they are privileged as the big reveal at the end of the book. It is so stupid.
I think the banter and tension in this book was spot on. The characters had a ton of chemistry and when they finally got together it was satisfying. However, there was a lot about this book that just didn’t click for me. Billionaire romances will never be my thing so this was a little off. I also think the side characters (with the exception of Cora) were flatter and more one dimensional than I’m used to in good romance novels.
Speaking of Cora, she was probably the best part of this book and I loved her but she did not act like a 12 year old. Why not have had her be 14 or 15 instead? Make Ford and Rosie a little older and then your 12 year old won’t be acting like she’s 20. I know the point was that she acted old for her age but it was a little too much imo.
Also the names in this novel need to be addressed. Weston and Rosie are fine. Who names their kid Ford?? Ford is an awful name. I guess famous people choose weird names. Also some of the side characters?? Faye? Rhys? I’m sorry is this ACOTAR where am I? Justice for Derek “Scotty” Scott because he had a real human being name.
There were parts of this book I liked but I feel betrayed that this is marketed as a cowboy romance. They just are in a small town and there is a barn, that is not a cowboy romance. I want horses and cowboy hats and southern accents and manual labor in the sun. This was a man sending slutty emails in his fancy office.
