Not my cup of tea. The only way I would have liked it less is if it were longer.
I liked Charlotte. She had a goal. She had transformed herself in pursuit of that goal.
I thought that Alex was a bit full of himself. "Every young lady will be after me because I am a duke." What upset me was that he had sex and thought that he could worry about consequences the next day. Given that the Pill wasn't around at that time, consequences could have been very severe for the woman. I am sure that there were men with such a cavalier attitude, but that is not a hero to me.
