What a lovely fairytale with a strong female character. She wasn’t headstrong or rebellious. She follows her heart and constantly questions her choices. Ultimately it’s all about doing the right thing. I did feel that the build up to the main conflict took a little too long to get to with the ending being too sudden. But that didn’t ruin the story overall. I would definitely recommend this book to others who want fairytales routed in non-Euro cultures.
