Too Much Happiness by Alice Munro

3.0

I really liked this, unfortunately I really didn’t like the titular story. I listened to the audiobook version and the titular story has characters with a wide range of accents, which the narrator did not manage to convey at all successfully. It atrocious and frankly mangled the entire story. How you can manage to make both Swedish, Russian, German and French accents sound vaguely Scottish is beyond me, especially since the narrator was American! Do not do the accents is can’t do it convincingly. It was horrible.
