The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0
When I stumbled upon this title when I was looking for books to read during pride month I was excited: it was queer and it was old Hollywood. I started reading and I fell in love. It made me stop and take in every word and I quickly fell in love with Evelyn Hugo, a bisexual woman who will not be erased.
I was doubtful because I found myself annoyed by the short passages dedicated to Monique, but the story came together in a beautiful way. My opinion may be slightly skewed because of my passion for all things queer and love of old Hollywood, but it was truly a book worth reading and is now one of my favorites.
