Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book because it’s nothing like what I typically read. While the writing style was weird at first I got used to it right away and the structure of it made me want to keep reading. The story itself is very bittersweet and even quite sad at certain points, showing how what’s left unsaid could make all the difference in a relationship. I grew to love the two main characters and just wished they were able to communicate better. While that could’ve been frustrating I thought it was written in a way that kept me invested in both of them. Would love to see what else Sally Rooney has to offer because this one pleasantly surprised me.
