The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

3.0

This was better than the last two books, definitely. At least here the MC felt like an MC. She had her own game now and solved most of the mystery herself.
I can see improvement with each book I must say that.
Still, the chemistry was so dull in this love triangle (can I even say this is a love triangle )
I know a lot of people were angry with the guy she chose at the end, but tbh he was best suited for her. In this book, I was so frustrated with Grayson's behaviour but he shined at the end. And finally some conclusion as to why Avery was chosen. But I did like Jameson in this book. His personality did grow on me.

Main thoughts after reading all three books.
Xander has my heart. He is such a goofy character and always lights up the scenes.
Grayson, omg, I love him. The way he speaks and his personality, I can totally understand why people love him. I wanted more of him. His presence in books was so less.
Jameson gave me a different version of Damon Salvatore vibes. The ways he talks or takes risks or dares and also the way he taunts his brother. There were a lot of similarities
I hated Avery.
