Give me a villainous female main any day! The way Emily McIntire writes her villains is just chef's kiss. The dynamic between Nick/Brayden and Evie is beautifully balanced - hate and attraction, dominance and submission. This book is DARK - a lot of murder, some torture, a lot of mental strain for our mains. If you loved Hook in Hooked, you're going to love Evie; she's a more extreme version of him.
