This book has been sitting on my shelf practically since it came out. I love the idea of old Hollywood, but it never felt like the right time to read it. After my sister had repeatedly told me I would love it, I gave in and started reading.
I tore through this book.
The only slight disappointment was the ending.
The "horrible" thing she did. That was understandable right until Monique was told the connection. It had been so blown up that I thought she killed her daughter or something. Because she just tried to keep both men's reputations intact. And as fucked up as it is, it worked.
Also like... We all knew she was completing suicide at the end of this.
