The Throne of Broken Gods by Amber V. Nicole

5.0

“Devil,” he whispered, and to him, maybe I did look like the demons from his legends. I wore a read pantsuit with a matching jacket and heels, my hands covered in my own blood. “Actually, it’s Dianna.”

I could not have been more excited for this book if I tried. This book was EVERYTHING. It was brutal and heartbreaking. It was beautiful revenge and the rawness of female rage. It was support and friendship in the unlikeliness of places. It was sharing that ragged pain inside of you with the person you trust most so you don't have to carry it all on your own.

Dianna is legit one of my favorite FMCs. She's fierce and violent, loving and protective. She is strong enough to take down those that have wronged her and I love how she didn't let anyone stand in her way, even Samkiel. And don't even get me started on Sammy Daddy. That man. Lord. He's something else. He's the perfect match for Dianna and everything she needs.

This story was wonderfully written and I truly appreciated that even though the book was a thicc bitch, there were zero parts that lagged or drug on too long. I honestly wanted more as soon as I read the last page. For some reason I thought this was going to be a duology and I am both thrilled and angry that I have to wait for book 3 now!

My favorite part? My name Ayla appears somewhere in this book (IYKYK) and I was so stoked to see it! I told Amber that I was going to pretend that she got the inspo for the name from me even though that is far from the truth haha

This book was everything and more. Amber is a master at crafting beautifully raw stories that stay with you. One of my favorite reads of this year!

"Now scream for Daddy."
