I enjoyed this. It’s nice to have a romance with slightly older characters who are dealing with real life with each other. There were times when the main character’s lack of emotional maturity vis-a-vis her ex/partner were frustrating, and whew was he patient. Then again, none of us entirely coherent; it’s true we can be highly competent in some ways and stunted in others. Ultimately, I thought this had more to offer in terms of emotional intelligence, character development, and romance in a realistic context than many other romances I’ve read recently, and I’d definitely pick up this author again.
