I Remember
by Joe Brainard
funny
lighthearted
reflective
“I Remember” starts off assuredly endearing. The author’s short memories attach strings to your own and pull with each new entry. I found that every page turn began to seem tedious after the halfway point. I wouldn’t recommend this as a sit down read, but knowing myself, I will probably pick this up on a randomly self indulgent day and thumb through a few pages (and possibly write a few remembrances of my own following Brainard’s format).
