And Then You by Briar Prescott

I was sure this book would have been good and I wasn't disappointed. Briar Prescott delivered another amazing story.
I'm going to leave a few random thoughts:

- the prologue is a punch in the gut, raw and painful. I'm grateful the author chose to reveal the incident right at the beginning of the story, instead of putting it in the middle of the book;

- at first, Quinn didn't captivate me, he seemed a little too arrogant and judgemental about Steph. I've never been so happy to be wrong because he's amazing. The way he made space for himself, a bit at a time, into Steph's life, how he was there without suffocating him and making him run away, how he didn't believe all his bullshit, but at the same time, never pushed too hard for the truth. How he supported him and also how he didn't hold back when he was angry at him (Steph needed that); how he's always showed up;

- I loved Steph, adorable messy fragile Steph; his pov is hilarious and it made me laugh quite a lot. But when he dimished himself, when he retreated or deflected by lying, that was painful to read; his povs are a lot more than Quinn's but I think that was a good choice for how the story unfolds;

- I loved the sex scenes, because they were more like "love" spicy scenes, quite emotional and intimate. Quinn was very thoughtful I likd how he took care of Steph;

- I was disappointed in Briar and her selfishness, she had her perfect family and she didn't want anything to disturb that. Luckily she apologised but the meddling-know-it-all female best friends in MM romance are really starting to annoying me;

- I wish we could have had more of Jude and Blake, because they're one of my favourite couples. Anyway the three scenes involving Jude (at the restaurant, at Blake's and at Briar and Nora's) are amazing and they totally reflect his personality;

- I adored the scenes before the epilogue, when they're all together, it was beautiful.

I don't know if Briar Prescott is planning more books in this series, but I would definitely like that.

This is a standalone story, no need to read the previous book. But do yourself a favour and read them both because they're amazing.
Highly recommended

I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
