First off this is a novella part of the Stay series and no you don't have to read the full-length novels first. Like all 1001 Dark Nights novellas, this book can be read as a stand-alone.

I very much enjoyed this book. It doesn't feel rushed at all and a good thing this is short because I couldn't stop reading.

I do highly recommend this book and this series.
