Buckled is the second book in the “Trails of Sin” series and as I’ve come to expect from Pam, it did NOT disappoint.

Pam has the incredible ability to draw you so deeply into the story that you feel as though you’re living it yourself. The emotional connection that she’s able to establish between characters and the reader always leaves me in awe. I mean, I physically felt the devastation and heartbreak between Jarret and Maybe, you know when your stomach drops and your heart rate increases and you catch yourself thinking “oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck” while you’re reading? Yea it was like that.

I was thrown off by our FMC’s name at first, I mean MAYBE? What the hell?! But as her arc and the story develops, it actually works and I ended up absolutely adoring it and her character. She’s got so much fuckin sass and tenacity that you can’t help but love her - despite the whole veggie thing lol.

Jarret is the perfect morally grey MMC. Everything about him made me fall in love a little bit more. I mean he’s a raging asshole and straight up dick, but the soft spot he has for Maybe and Chicken (
