This book is one you read in between series as a palate cleanser.
It was a fast; finish in a single sitting novella that was cute, light, and entertaining.
I honestly think the authors entire premise of the book would have been fantastic as an actual book versus a novella. There is a lot that gets put into 200 pages and I think it was a bit too much at times.
So that does make this a fast run plot that leaves you a little confused on where the story was headed.
I honestly wish there would have been less characters and story and more time with the two love interests to build their relationship. I wasn't sure if this was going to turn into a RH situation with the 4 guys because I couldn't even identify who she was falling for until very far into the book. This story is also an adventure story, where they go to a lot of locations and honestly it was a bit overwhelming to jam all that world building in such a short amount of time.
Overall this book was fun to read and I'll probably save the others for when I finish a large high fantasy book when I want an easy read. However; I personally wouldn't put this at the top of your TBR list.
