Barbara Kingsolver's homage to, or modern-day retelling of, David Copperfield is masterful in so many ways. None of which will I spoil, but I read it in two days straight, because I was so enthralled. As I am a Dickens fanatic, I am squarely in the target demographic, but it matters not, as it stands on its own. Highly recommended!
