A very readable account of Paul Holes's career, Unmasked also touches on the impact on his personal life of his often single-minded devotion to that career. Naturally, there is graphic content, so this isn't a book for everyone. It includes descriptions of horrific deaths, crime scenes, and the effects of loss on the living.
While many cases are covered - including some which still remain unsolved at the time of writing - there is a through-thread following one of the most famous cases which was only recently solved, that of the Golden State Killer.
Fans of true crime will enjoy #UnmaskedBook.
