Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS by Myeongseok Kang, BTS

4.0

I found BTS music in 2017 and ever since they have remained my favourite. I don't think I have ever truly been a part of a fandom before this group so they are meaningful for me.

However, I will try my best to keep those feelings aside and review this biographical piece as a book.

----------------

While 'Beyond The Story' is a 10-year record of debatably the most famous boy group of recent times; it doesn't truly go that beyond.

I would instead say that the book dives a bit deeper into the group's history (available in the vast collection of their work) and fills in the blanks to form a complete record.

However, this is also fascinating because it shows how much the seven members who came from different parts of Korea and won millions of hearts across the world have expressed their emotions and journeys.

To read a collection of those is often emotional. The book also subtly brushes upon how they create their music without diving deeper into the technicalities.

I would have personally liked to have some more sections about the albums (from the narration of the boys) but alas I am happy with everything that they have added already.

I believe that this book is a great piece for ARMYs but it is definitely written for a greater audience who might discover K-pop and BTS from this autobiography.
