This was in my opinion the weakest book in the series. After finishing book 2 I was already thinking that Peter and Lara Jeans story is pretty much told and I wasn't sure if I would read this book. I still had a good time reading it, it's just not as good as book 1 & 2.
Still this definitely gave the series a good ending. It felt like more of their conflicts got resolved and even though we don't know what will happen to them once they go to college they are committed to each other.
What I liked best about this book is surprisingly how real the portrayal of Peter is. He's definitely still romanticised but his flaws feel very realistic. He can be a bit petty and jealous and their discussion over the yearbook entry made me mad on Lara Jeans behalf but it also felt realistic.
Many of the conflict in this book were unnecessary though in my opinion. It's a bit unclear to me what exactly this book was supposed to be / what story it was supposed to tell. Yes it was about going off to college and leaving everything & everyone you know behind. It's about every ending being a new beginning like the wedding or their dad to Trina. Still I felt like there was something missing. I liked the book well enough but I don't think it could stand on it's own if the previous two books hadn't been there.
Nevertheless I did really enjoy this whole trilogy :)
