A Long Way Down
by Nick Hornby
I read this a few months ago.. Kind of, read. I say kind of because I could not not finish the book! This book is about 4 people who want to kill themselves and try to do so on the night of New Year's Eve, but surprise... they all run into each other while attempting to do so. Each character takes their turn telling the story from their point of view.
At the start of this book, I thought I would love it. The summary on the back seemed very interesting and so did the first few chapters.. But after I got further into the book it seemed like the plot was being dragged on WAY longer than it needed to be. A lot of parts were redundant and I saw no real character development. In theory, I believed I would absolutely love this book but I could not even finish it.
I enjoyed the author's writing and liked the different points of view, but the actual story was not enjoyable for me.
