lovely lovely book. was reading it as a buddy read so I had too much time between the sections and I forgot a lot of stuff so I might now have been as invested as I could have been BUT IT WAS STILL GOOD. I can't believe MATTHIAS DIED GODDAMNIT AND KAZ AND INEJ AND HER PARENTS AND MATTHIAS AND JESPER AND WYLAN ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER AND PEKKA GOT HIS FUCKING COMEUPPANCE AHHHHH
okay though for real I love the story and bardugo is amazing I love her type of writing! not much flowery or poetic language or even tact in writing it, it's just a GOOD book. quality, thought out, executed perfectly, engaging even when I should have lost all interest between sections. fantastic.
