Oliver Twist [Adaptation] by Charles Dickens, Les Martin

It is unfathomable to me that this book was released 200 years go. Disregard the fact that almost every "orphan child turn to crime" story ORIGINATES from here, the pacing of this book is almost modern. The dialogues are neatly packed and seem natural whereas most """classic books""" tend to have a single person talk for 15-20 pages straight without a single pause to the point when you forget who is doing the talking. It is refreshing also to see a story unfold without using "misunderstandings".
Oliver says something that is somewhat implausible? People actually believe him and are only frustrated with him when they are proven right

Interesting read definitely but I still wouldn't recommend this to someone who isn't reading classics frequently
