I read this for book club, it's not something I ever really would have chosen myself.
It's very dark, gothic and very atmospheric. I like books set across different timeliness which I think this did really well. I did prefer Lina and Maxine's to Lucienne's as I feel they had more depth to the characters. It's quite an addictive read, quite easy to want to keep reading.
I did struggle with the very short chapter length and I did feel the structure jumped around a little bit it does progress well and you start to see the links.
As others said there is a twist that you absolutely don't see coming. I personally was not a fan of the ending but I seem to be in the minority there!
