Skin Flicks: A Gruesome Threesome of Splatterpunk Horror by Duncan Ralston

4.0

This collection of short, sex-fueled, fucked up stories did not fall short anywhere (no pun intended?)
Each story was drastically different, creative, and grossly well-written. As expected, Ralston delivers with the outrageous and thoroughly thought-out stories, full of grotesque imagery, visceral details, and strangely unique plots.

I really enjoy the attention to detail and the overall prose of the author's work- incredible worldbuilding, dialogue, and character development are always beyond what I would expect from an extreme horror book. I was pretty sure I knew what the ending was going to be to a few of these, but they were still a little twistier than I thought.

I didn't expect to enjoy or like this one as much as I did. Don't get me wrong- it was disgusting, perverse, horrifying, and vomit-inducing BUT it was a good one!
