I'm going to be completely honest, I got a lot of whiplash reading this book. Max was obsessed with Joelle one second then pushing her away/getting angry with her in the next chapter. It really didn't make sense. The "plot" was Max getting angry/annoyed for reasons I genuinely can't remember. He was sweet at some points but I found it hard to believe that by the end of the book he was in love with her. And why the hell would someone turn off their phone for weeks on end???? It was a decent read but I would not recommend. The family aspect of this book was its one redeeming quality, very endearing and made my heart feel full.
