What I Thought:

I loved every moment of this book. It had steam, passion, excitement and a very believable set of emotions pouring out of each of the characters.

I found the take on heaven, hell demons and ht like to be a new look at the topic. It was refreshing, fun and very easy to become highly addicted to reading about! The settings were given an excellent amount of description. I also loved that Cross did not give away all the details about the world, the places of the different levels/types of character and our main character's place away first thing. With each page we gained a little more knowledge and twice as much interest.

With the level of detail and personality each character was given, I found myself loving and hating certain ones. I became so close to them that, when a particular scene with our protector, our main character and the slimy Dante took place, I was oozing with hatred at the betrayal and wrong doing. I almost felt that though I had, personally, been the one scorned. The passionate more moments were also given enough thought, speed and detail to make them so realistic you wanted in!

I loved the characters, good and bad. Cross has included loads of the biggest players, in all sorts of legends, tales, mythology to give everyone a portion of their personal beliefs/stories they've heard to refer to, and it also was like name dropping at a party. When you heard a character you knew mentioned, it was as if you thought ' oh yeh, it's about time, X entered the party,' and Cross made sure not to leave out any of the fun ones. I thought that each character was given enough personality to feel as if you personally knew them, as if you have Sunday tea with them each with.

The pace was brilliant, keeping the action flowing, but pausing just enough to give us a fun or steamy moment, with our fingers still on thumping pulses, or a bit of important detail. There were twists, turns and unexpected moments that made you sit on the edge of your seat.

Overall, this book is exceedingly addicting and one of the best reads of 2015 so far! I loved every moment and cannot wait to read more...or at least read this again!
