The Serial Killer's Wife
by Alice Hunter
Urgh.
This book was garbage.
The characters were two dimensional, unlikeable, uninteresting and unbelievable with dubious motivations. Honestly, every time a character did anything in this book My first thought was “What? As if…”
The plot was incredibly contrived. There were no subplots. No mystery. No drama. It was just the serial killers sociopath wife droning on about her little poppy poppet (vomited a little in my mouth every time that nugget was used)
And finally, as though it wasn’t already blatantly obvious who did what to whom, the author subjects the reader to my biggest pet peeve, by having the “villain” explain in a lengthy monologue why they did what they did.
Sigh.
