This is my second book by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland and it definitely out shone the first one, sorry Moon Fuentez you were still really good! I really loved the intricate family dynamics that she was able to develop within this book. A family that has so much loss and trauma and one sole member bearing the weight of all of it. I really felt for Sage at times in this book and so wanted everything to work out for her. With twists and heart breaking moments I wasn't expecting this is fantastical and whimsical tales at it's root of women and their magic.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.
