The Secret of Leifeng Pagoda by Ruby Gupta, Ruby Gupta
5.0
The Secret of Leifeng Pagoda has become one of my favorite books this year. It is a part of Professor Shantanu Bose's series. There were two books published in the series, and this one is the third, but the good thing is that one can read this book as a standalone.
Ruby Gupta's ninth novel is inspired by actual events and is adapted by Motion Pictures. Her detailed descriptions, character build-ups, plot twists, and narration are impeccable.
In Indian mystery/thriller novels, the author often puts a beautiful sidekick female character who says yes to everything or is portrayed as a love interest, which I always find irritating.
But I am so glad that the author of this book didn't do such a thing and won my heart ultimately. This engaging book is perfect for mystery lovers, and I can't wait to watch the movie/series. I highly recommend it.
