 Charlotte has a stalker and has been doing her best to stay hidden and safe. Her neighbor, Seth, is an arborist, who loves sharing random facts about trees. They find themselves trapped together over Valentine’s Day when the stairs to their apartments are unexpectedly removed. They start hanging together to pass the time and soon sparks start flying.

This was an adorable read, that was really well developed for being a short novella! I loved both Seth and Charlotte’s characters, the fun banter that they shared.  Seth was so attentive to Charlotte’s needs without judging her, and Charlotte was such a strong female main character. The forced proximity was perfection, and it was adorable that their friends had a little side romance. It was also really informative because I learned that male trees are responsible for my terrible allergies and I’d like to start a petition for everyone to start planting more female trees.
